    I throw back the comforter and top sheet and lightly spray my sheets with a DIY linen spray. It lets my bed air out and gives it a fresh feeling everyday. A bonus is that it needs to dry for a few minutes, so there is no temptation to crawl back under the covers once I've sprayed the linen spray on them.

    Apparently this is for people without children especially with babys and toddlers! Lol, have fun trying to even brush your teeth, drink a sip of water let alone listen to a motivational book or video in peace to be able to hear it!

    One thing I like to do when I wake up is move my pillow away and wiggle my fingers and toes… then move my feets and my knees a bit.. then my shoulders.
    (everything done gently, yet intentionally, no jerky movements).

    I’ll reach up, cup my hands, one on either side of the base my head and pull/push(I’m not sure which it is… just elongate the spine, gently) and turn it from side to side and tipping left then right.

    I move
    My hips gently by bringing one hip up toward my elbow and then the other way…. (keep legs kind of straight, relaxed. Feet will become uneven when you do it correctly).

    I do these type of movements until my body does an ‘automatic and natural sigh’ (deep breath).

    I believe this is the moment your body is kind of connected to your breath.

    You’re moving… it needs more air. You take a natural deep breath… now everything is awake, your breath is connected… your thinking grateful thoughts while you’re doing it aaaaand… if you do this whole thing very gently and not rushed… you’re
    Going to say (almost without thinking)…. ‘mmmmm that feeels gooood’. Sometimes🙂 you’ll sweetly fall into a natural what I call, ‘baby stretch’. Remember those stretches you did when you were a kid? Your body would just stretch naturally in all kinds of contortions… yeah, that kind of thing. You’ll likely do an ooooo and and ahhhhhh🙂

    ‘😎He ain’t lyin!😆. mmmm so good.

    To each their own. After turning off my alarm I scroll social media for a few minutes which helps keep me awake. Otherwise, I hit that snooze button really fast (and often!).

    I feel like i wanna share this to my significant other but I'm sure he's not gonna like it lol he always goes on Instagram first thing in the morning and will be lying on bed for more than an hour just scrolling and checking insta stories.. I've been trying to motivate, inspire him but he just doesn't wanna be inspired.. Now I gave up 😂😅

    I spritz myself in the face with rose water to help wake me up. I also love guided meditations from apps. Trying to do that more often!

    Great timing! It's Monday & I had a very productive weekend, next week I graduate! I need this morning off from work, I just want to enjoy my day, take small steps to reduce stress and live my best life. I wrote the 25 things on my phone and I am going to pick some of them to do this morning and in the next mornings, until the big day.

    I hate checking mail, it can pile up for months. But if I have a early wake up routine I actually don’t mind taking a moment to open my mail and finally throw away everything I don’t need.

    I don’t know why doing it in the morning helps but it does

    5 – Wake up

    5~6:30 – Exercise

    6:30~7:30 – Prep (Breakfast, Bath, clothes, making bed, making tea)

    7:30~8:30 – Reading time

    8:30~12 – Studying time

    12~13 – Lunch break

    13~14:30 – Job hunting

    14:30~18 – Work on Project

    18~21:30 – Free time (Netflix / gaming / reading / finishing unfinished things / whatever)

    21:30-22 – Meditate

    22 – Sleep

    I spend some time with my significant other first thing in the morning. No details needed, but I find that connecting with each other first thing in the morning in some way helps us perform better as a team.

    Well its not the first thing that I love to do in the morning, however, it's a necessity and that's taking my dogs to the dog park in my community. I have a large dog, part hound and part chow. I inherited a poodle from a dear friend of mine that passed away this past July. Actually, I take the poodle out in my backyard first thing in the morning. I always say when my pets are gone then I'm done with pets. We'll see. The poodle is 14 and my dog is 8. Sorry if this was too much information. So love your videos.

    AMY! I hope you see this. I've noticed you've never talked about having an email address specific to online shopping, so I wanted to mention it to you –

    I have an email address specifically for online shopping and I set my inbox up so it auto marks everything as read, so I only see what's going to it if I check it for coupons/promos/sales/restocks/etc. It's been a game changer for me. I never miss promo codes or sales, but I don't deal with the cancer in my inbox.

    Add this to the list, instead of using Instagram I use Duolingo app and learn a language. the app is interactive so that I know I am awake and won't just get back in bed.
    Also sometimes I really don't feel like getting up taking steam helps.

    I actually breastfeed first thing in the morning! Since I won’t be doing this forever, I am thankful to take advantage of the dose of endorphins I get by nursing my little one the minute he wakes me up in the first hours of our day. If you’re a nursing mama, you totally get me. 😝

    Using screentime on my phone has changes my mornings! It turns off an hour after I get up and really helped me to get my morning routine done, before I use my phone.

Today I deleted my Instagram account, I realized that I was spending so much time on it morning and evening, so I thought let's delete it, and oh my god, I spend so much time for myself today and not on my phone!!     Awesome advice! I definitely agree! I have started leaving my phone on the other side of the room and immediately leaving my room to feed my cats and let the dogs out. It helps that the animals don't really give me an option for social media time in the morning. XD Cuddles, food, attention, and my breakfast are all wanted by my four legged children and it really helps keep me in the moment.

    First – if you do the scent routine be careful which oils you diffuse if you have pets! Many id them are harmful to cats and dogs. Citrus, cinnamon, mint… do your research on what's bad ans what's safer. Second – Love some of these other ideas, going to try and make my morning routine into more than a half awake mess. That i generally fill with listening to YouTube videos while stumbling through (and being distracted by them. Constantly.)

    I keep my phone charging in the kitchen and try not to look at it until I get done with my workout and walking the dog. Fresh air in the morning is key for me, then coffee 🙂
