You make a heck of a lot of great content! And though some of it still goes completely over my head as i learn and prepare to take my CCNA in a few months, it's still great content. However, this video is DAMN GREAT excellent video content, for all the reasons of knowing and preparing for the CCNA 200-301. Awesome summary!

  • Reply Desmond Coulton February 25, 2020 at 3:47 pm

Even though the ICD1 book by Odom said that it won't cover VTP because it won't show in the exam the only reason I passed is that you did cover VTP since there was 5 questions on VTP.

  • Reply Glenn Fulcher February 25, 2020 at 4:12 pm

Hi David, I know you use virtual labs.  But, what equipment should I buy if I want a physical lab for the new CCNA as of Feb 2th 2020

  • Reply Alberto Lopez-Rivera February 25, 2020 at 4:15 pm

David, Thanks for your time and dedication for videos like this one. I appreciate the time you put into developing your material. Your labs for Packet Tracer are very detailed, very well written, and easy to learn from. Please continue making more material! It’s definitely one of the best training materials out there.

Hi David, I benefited a lot from your course on udemy. I passed CCNA 200-125 last week and I got the CCNA Routing and Switching certificate. My question: Cisco said they will give us the new CCNA certificate when the syllabus change with a badge also. I checked my certifications on Cisco site and I found the badge but not the new certificate. So when will we get the new upgraded certificate for CCNA?

  • Reply Pen Ace February 25, 2020 at 8:38 pm

  • Reply Prakash Prajuli February 25, 2020 at 8:50 pm

  • Reply Chris Coetzee February 25, 2020 at 9:33 pm

    Haazit David!

First, thanks for your awesome content!!

Sheesh I should really start reading the pinned posts before asking questions LOL, I'm just going to leave my questions there anyway, but it has been answered in your pinned post.

I recertified my CCNA in middle FEB, watching this I feel like I am missing out on a lot of automation content, should I go straight to the ENCORE content or so I need to spend some time on the DEVNET course, or maybe just go through the new CCNA content before heading to the ENCORE, I did buy the book on Cisco Press today so I'm not sure what is covered there.

David did you use up the 2 hours or were you able to finish earlier

  • Reply P.J February 25, 2020 at 11:01 pm

Thx, but you I don't get why you are worried about EIGRP and VTP not being in the books/official-cert vs the PDF: the real question is "Were there any questions in the CCNA exams about those?" and you don't answer that. If they are not on the exam, don't waste your time with VTP nor EIGRP. No other vendors uses those anyway, so it's as useful in 2020 as learning (and wasting time) about IPv4 A,B,C,D and E classes instead of focusing on VLSM.

  • Reply Yusuf Stark February 25, 2020 at 11:12 pm

Hi David, great video, wanted to know what is the difference between the "cert guide" volumes 1 and 2 you shown vs the "cert guide library" you have linked in your description? Many Thanks! 😊

Hi David, how do you overcome that the new CCNP became too much theory, and literally it feels so much boring, reading all this theory. so many chapters its all about theory, how would somebody be able to memorize all these single details, it feels to me its more about a person who can memorize not understand.

Hi David, I passed my CCNA in June 2017, started a new job, but never used my CCNA skill-set since.. My question is, do you think i would find it difficult adjusting to the new CCNA exam.. Because it seems like there is alot of new content. And does the official cert guide include some sort of means to practice with packet tracer (questions or labs)?

Congratulations David on the success of the new CCNA. You have been a good Cisco Trainer / Ambassador. Some of your videos last year gave me exposition on Cisco VIRL which is a good resource from Cisco. I was excited about the new developments on Cisco Devnet in your interview with one of the developers at Cisco Devnet, I had wished I was not only a learner and user of Cisco exciting technologies but a developer or contributor to the development. Thanks for your good works. I wish you success in all your endeavours in the new, dynamic and ever evolving world of Cisco technologies.

You mentioned EIGRP wasn't in the new syllabus, but it was in Odems book. Did you encounter any questions about it when you took the test?…and if so, why wouldn't cisco just put it on the syllabus, instead of hiding it?
