Time to UpGrade my Truck & Camper Security | Mr. Locksmith™ Video

February 20, 2020

(safe opening) – So the crackheads keep
on busting into my propane. I did this just to secure, not to secure it, stop it from flapping. There’s not even a lock on here. They beat the hell out
of everything to steal, that’s a replacement propane. But they’re busting in,
you don’t have to bust in, all you gotta do is open it. And, but they’re stealing
my propane tanks, so that’s a replacement for now. But look at that, now I gotta replace it, and you know, this is expensive
to replace this stuff. It’s a pain in the butt, plus
I’m losing propane tanks. So, it’s not so much when I’m camping, it’s when I’m leaving this
at whatever city I’m in, ’cause you’re not in
the woods all the time. You park it, you go for a hike, and someone stole your propane tanks. So I’m gonna make it as hard as possible for them to steal this stuff. So, I’m gonna put in a
hockey puck lock and chain, and I’m gonna lag bolt it in
some and I’m just (sputters) You stay tuned. We’ll show you what we’re gonna do. My camper for a couple big trips we did we’re gonna do a few big trips, the next couple years, we
got some big trips planned. So here, they keep on just,
you know, there’s nothing here. One key fits almost every one of them, so, I gotta put a hasp
and padlock on here. Hockey puck lock, just to secure it. And I’ve got it so that the hockey puck lock is secure to the hast so I don’t have to
worry about dropping it. I’m gonna upgrade my compartments, I’ve got some Jerry cans
being installed here, my recovery boards, we
have a roof rat coming in, and I have to secure what’s up there, so, just gonna make this more heavy duty, make it harder to steal my stuff. It’s a pain in the butt, you’re
out in the middle of nowhere and your propane tanks
are gone, or it’s sitting, as I’m shopping, doing
the touristy things, and you come back and
somebody’s broken into here. I’m not gonna stop them
from breaking in 100%, I’m just gonna make it not super easy. So, I’m just gonna secure everything, stay tuned, there’s gonna
be lots of new videos, this thing is getting geared up for a couple of really big trips, and I want everything secure,
and I’m adding more toys, and I’m fed up with having my
gas in, my extra gas inside, my recovery traction boards
inside, I wanna put them out here, and I’m not happy with a lot of the stuff I’ve seen out there, and also, I see break-ins
all the time on people’s overland vehicles on
their recreation vehicles, so what better than to take my own camper and a friends trailer and
we’re gonna fix them all up so you can’t steal this, make it more difficult to
steal, we’re gonna add some bars on the inside, I don’t wanna
make it look like a prison but I’m just gonna make
it that little bit harder to break into here. The camper is alarmed,
the truck is alarmed, gonna add some lights,
cameras, this is my baby, this is my toy, I wanna have
it ready whenever I want to go in it, I don’t
wanna be replacing crap. So stay tuned, it’s gonna be
good, subscribe to my channel, and we’ll have lots of fun here. I hope you enjoyed watching this video, subscribe to my channel,

locksmith training I have for beginners and
intermediate and advanced, as well as my covert methods of entry and my non destructive methods of entry. (dramatic music) (safe closes)

Oh wow, look at all the pretty blue locks and bars.
There must be alot of good stuff in there! I'll come back with my sawzall or a sledgehammer.

How about a crossbow or shotgun rigged up so when they open the door Wham-O.

When I was a kid guys use to steal car stereos

I removed the cover on my Sony radio brazed 4 razor blades to it put it back installed the radio and then removed the cardboard protection off the blades with a screwdriver.

It worked! One day I found the knobs of my radio on the floor and a bunch of blood on the carpet. 😂

I'd do the same to the propane tank.
Ever thought of using a magneto as a theft deterrent?

That's a DAMN shame that you work hard and long to be able to buy something like that. And you cannot even enjoy it for worry about the homeless idiots breaking in and taking that which is by law yours. What's friggin worse is that to file an insurance claim will cost more out of pocket, so what's the use? I'm very sad to see crapblikexthis happening to you

The entry lock on most motorhomes and RVs are pretty easy to open without a key. I am a fulltimer and its a little scary how easy these things can be opened. Can't wait to see how you solve this puzzle.
